Conveyor Belt Drive Components

One of the most popular products that we produce here at Wire Belt Company of America are our conveyor belt drive components. In short, they help to keep your production lines running smoothly and can be personalized to your exact specifications. Two types of conveyor belt drive components that we offer are our PEEK components and Clean-Sweep sprockets. In this blog post, we are going to take a closer look at the differences between these two.

PEEK Components

Our PEEK (PolyEtherEther-Ketone) drive components are made up of a high performance engineering thermoplastic which allows them to operate at temperatures as high as 464°F (240°C) and in hot water or steam without permanent loss in physical properties. They are also much less abrasive on your stainless steel belts than their metal counterparts.

Clean-Sweep Sprockets

The Clean-Sweep sprockets that we are proud to offer have been specifically designed to deflect the amount of product buildup accumulated on your conveyor’s drive. This means that there is less of a chance for product loss or conveyor belt breakage due to incorrect contact with the sprocket teeth. This results in a more efficient production line and a longer belt life.
