We are seeking an experienced accountant to fill an Accounts Receivable Administrator role at our headquarters in Bedford, NH.

As an Accounts Receivable Administrator at Wire Belt, you will…

Be an essential part of our finance and accounting team, responsible for computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data to maintain accurate customer accounting records and systems. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy will support the overall financial health of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for making decisions on credit worthiness of potential and existing customers using various sources e.g. D&B reports, credit references, financial statements and records and company account history. Exceptions are reviewed by the Accounting Manager.
  • Responsible for verifying and processing information used in the customer accounting cycle i.e. credit review, invoicing, collections and cash application.
  • Responsible for reconciliation of general ledger discrepancies.
  • Responsible for maintaining customer sales tax exemption certificates by interfacing with Avalara Sales Tax Software.

Additional Duties:

  • Recognize and identify patterns that indicate business challenges for customers.
  • Run the ERP Costing Utilities program.
  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash fund.
  • Record A/R records in the electronic filing system.
  • Provide backup support for Account Payable and Payroll functions
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and at least five years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
