As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at Wire Belt, you will…

Be responsible for supporting production and facilities through maintenance and repair of purchased and proprietary production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support production by maintaining and repairing purchased and proprietary manufacturing equipment
  • Support facilities by performing a variety of tasks related to general building maintenance (light plumbing, carpentry, some grounds work)
  • Troubleshoot production equipment issues using operator feedback, observation, deductive reasoning, and institutional knowledge
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision (individually and as part of a team)
  • Must be able to use computers to complete required work order repair documentation
  • Help to maintain inventory of maintenance parts through cycle counts, bin stocking and used part evaluation (i.e. fix or pitch)
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Work with Production and Engineering teams to continuously improve maintenance procedures for production equipment
  • Support a safe and healthy work environment through best work practices.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

You have a high school diploma or GED and at least three years’ experience preferred working in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
